From February 1 until February 26, the Count Me In Too project, which has been researching LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) lives and needs in Brighton & Hove since 2005, is exhibiting a series of posters about how this research was carried out with local LGBT people.
This exhibition, at the Jubilee Library in Brighton, will coincide with other LGBT events throughout February - LGBT History Month.
The exhibition reveals the diversity within LGBT communities and contemporary experiences and concerns, as well as outlining the unique community/university partnership that made the project so successful and which has been celebrated as a model of community engagement.
The organisers have produced a community summary resource pack, which collates bite-sized summaries of its findings with suggestions on how to use the research in schools and education. Accompanying the pack is a DVD with full copies of all of the project’s reports and summaries, and an eye-catching slideshow presentation of key findings. Anyone wishing a copy of this resource pack can receive one for free by contacting Nick McGlynn at:
