The 2009/10 Brighton & Hove Business Directory – detailing over 5,000 businesses in the city – will be launched on Tuesday 29 by Brighton & Hove City Council.
 
The directory includes information on the size of the company, number of staff, business sector and a named contact. It is unique in offering useful information on the city's economy, as well as contact details of business support and networking agencies in Brighton & Hove.
 
Leader of Brighton & Hove City Council, councillor  Mary Mears, said:  
“This is an invaluable guide to businesses in the city. Shopping locally plays a crucial part in sustaining the city’s economy and helps protect local jobs. Supporting independent traders is particularly helpful as profits from these sorts of businesses are more likely to be re-invested in Brighton & Hove.”
 

The directory is available free as a hard copy from Brighton & Hove town halls.
