The Tarner & Eastern Road Partnerships are holding one of their "Clean Up & Green Up" days on Weds April 21.

Volunteers will be divided into four groups to litter pick around the Eastern Rd and Tarner areas and there will also be some planting of wild flowers to really cheer up the area.  This event has been running for three years now and is regularly attended not only by residents, but also PCSOs, local councillors and council staff from city parks and the environment improvement team.

Chris Cooke, Chair of the Eastern Rd Partnership, said:
"It's one of my favourite events during the year and it's really great to see residents taking pride in where they live and events like this make the community just that bit more pleasant for everyone."

The event will start at 10am (meeting at St.James's House on Chapel Street) and will finish with a free lunch at 12.30pm.
