"
Go Blooming Wild" is the theme for City in Bloom 2010, coinciding with the U.N. year of International Biodiversity.
Chris Cooke, Chair of Kemp Town in Bloom, said:
"I'm really passionate about this city-wide competition and would urge everyone to really get involved this year. If we all make just a small effort then this city becomes transformed into a colourful oasis for us all to enjoy as we go about our daily lives, and that's really important.
"So, come on, get out there and get planting, and you never know, it could me you lifting that trophy later in the year when all prize winners are announced at a glittering ceremony in a top Brighton hotel."
Categories range from best window box, best balcony, best front garden right up to best street.
Chris is also actively involved in the City in Bloom working group which organises the annual competition, and also the Eastern Road and Tarner Area Partnerships which hold two "
Clean & Green" days during the year.
