Philip Osment is to give a talk -
Acting Out - on pioneering gay theatre company Gay Sweatshop, in Canterbury.
Gay Sweatshop Theatre Company was formed in 1975 to provide a more realistic image of lesbians and gays for the public. Philip worked with the company in the 70s and 80s. He is a playwright and director, with a wide range of work. In 2003 he devised “
Collateral Damage” a play about the Oklahoma City bombing, with Mike Alfreds and students from LAMDA. He is co-director of "
Dealing with Writing‟ which provides weekend workshops in Deal for writers to explore their creative potential.
The event takes place at the Friends Meeting House,The Friars, Canterbury on Monday May 24 at 7.45pm.
