Cabaret stars and drag queens rally to support the Brighton Aids Memorial

Brighton’s finest drag queens and entertainers are supporting the Brighton Aids Memorial with a gala benefit night on Wednesday September 2 at The Old Market in Hove, starting at 7.30pm

The stars of Absolutely Dragulous, Dave Lynn, Maisie Trollette, Lady James, Jamie Watson, Connie Conway and Sally Vate present From Broadway To Brighton, featuring highlights from top Broadway shows including The Sound of Music, Gypsy and Grease delivered with that special Absolutely Dragulous twist.

They will be joined for one night only by special guests Lola Lasagne, Drag With No Name, Jo Frances and singers from the Brighton and Hove (Actually) Gay Men’s Chorus.

All £15 and VIP tickets for this one-off extravaganza are sold out.

There are a handful of £10 tickets with restricted view remaining.

The Brighton Aids Memorial has now been cast in bronze and the trustees need to raise £15,000 to pay for the installation in New Steine Garden on Friday October 9.

All artists are donating their services free of charge and The Old Market has waived its hire fee for the evening.

One hundred per cent of all ticket money will go directly towards the cost of installing the memorial.
