Lib Dems were out in force canvassing over the weekend in Brighton and Hove building on the remarkable bounce in the opinion polls following the first of the leaders debates on television last week.

Local candidates were joined by former police chief and Lib Dem candidate for London Mayor, Brian Paddick on Western Road in Hove were they engaged with local Saturday shoppers. They later moved to St James Street where Cllr Paul Elgood briefed Paddick on the history and progress of the Brighton Aids Memorial.
