Romany Mark Bruce has put up his most recent painting for auction to help the fundraising drive to complete the Brighton Aids Memorial by October 9.

Romany, a lawyer, has worked for much of the past two years on the Memorial after winning a public competition in 2007 to develop his idea for a statue of two androgynous bodies stretching towards the heavens.

Romany has received no payment for his work and has provided project management, free of charge to make sure the Memorial is finished on time by October 9.
