Liverpool Pride was a resounding success with many local people and visitors commenting it was far more relaxed and enjoyable than the now world famous Manchester Mardi Gras.
 
We must really express thanks to corporate support from the city council, Merseyside Fire and Rescue, Police, Housing Associations and many others whose  financial support and seconding of key staff made the event viable.
 
We must also thank the hundred plus volunteers who acted as support , stewards or in other roles
 
Lastly the greatest aspect was the thousands of Liverpool people who lined the march showing such real support that made this Saturdays Liverpool Pride not just a success for our LGBT community but the whole city.
