This tiny little book with it’s reinforced cover, (it’s actually pocked sized) is designed so that Vegans can take it with them when they’re travelling to ensure that they get the best possible catering they can when they are out about and about on the vegan byways of the world.  If you’re one of those vegans who is reluctant to travel because of the fare on offer, then this little book is going to set you free.

The book is brimming with tasty recipes and stuffed with some of Sarah Kramer’s favourite recipes, which she has adapted for the traveller. Kramer’s bestselling vegan cookbooks have been boiled down into this travelling companion, it’s also got some original recipes of it’s own, but if you’re familiar with ‘How it all Vegan’ and the others in her series then you kind of know what to expect. Which is, clear, easy to follow, simple, nutritious and most of all tasty recipes which are going to please the far from home vegan. You could also (listen to me sounding all Delia!) pop it in your handbag for when you go out shopping and use it like a shopping list for the ingredients.

It’s easy to get ingredients also mean you don’t need to live near a decent organic health food shop either, Kramer’s already thought of that and keeps things simple, she suggests what kind of foods you can pop in your bags when travelling to spice up your cooking and even gives you some simple phrases to make sure you can say ‘I’m a vegan’ type things in a host of useful languages.  You could rustle up a good meal out of this book from the Falklands to Finland and I suspect this crafty lady has also made the book editable itself just in case you loose your baggage. I’m going to boil it up and make it into a soup later to test my theory out!

Check out Sarah Kramers website here:

This book is great fun, eminently practical and is going to transform your traveling life. Not a bad innings for a lady recently called ‘The Words Coolest Vegan’. Right, time to munch on my favourite recipe from the book, Righteous Orbs. Yum yum!
