Adding to their recent collection of re releases of vintage John Patrick anthologies this months release from Turnaround press is one the better gatherings of gay erotic writing edited by him.

These stories are the usual mix of unbridled action and endless hot sex with the main focus on the up for it sex hungry men being first timers, virgins, married guys i.e. ‘fresh’ and also frisky. Although some of the characters in this book are better described as sex starved cock hungry gluttons, but frisky is snappier.

This collection includes two of his own award winning stories ‘The Well’ & ‘In the arms of a stranger’, along with a collection of authors who are now well established as recognized gay writers but were just starting out when this was originally printed. Barry Alexander gives us ‘Boys like him’ a horny story of a guys first trip to a porno store and the adventure that follows him fingering the items on display,  ‘Down and Dirty’ from David Macmillan is a leaving story with a big difference and an oddly romantic twist, these and another 26 stories add up to a  good hefty collection.  

Some of the stories are a bit hit and miss but the sex is always on track, this is at heart a one handed torrid collection for bedtime reading, from the affectionate and gentle to the nasty, rough and brief these stories will get you going,  I just don’t’ think you’ll be getting too much sleep.
