This is a new take on an old favourite of mine, a hot and steamy erotica novel but with illustrations, you used to see these around in the vintage days of gay fiction but they seem to be having a renaissance at the moment. Authors and illustrators like Zack keep to the tradition of steamy sex, a gripping plot and, most of all, fun in this book. The message of his work is simple and it comes from the heart: Sex is fun, and anything goes as long as all involved enjoy it and are not hurt or abused against their will. So you get an idea that some of the sex portrayed in his books is from the darker side of the tracks. 

You’ll know Zack from his British Magazine days so his drawing style will have heated you up before and I like that fact that he always keeps his eye on the romantic action as much as the hot sex.

The plot is easy, it follows the adventures of Gil Graham who wants a job in the movies but when he enters the offices of one of Hollywood’s toughest movie producers, he gets more than he bargained for. Gil soon discovers that he has a lot of what the hunky young men working on the film want and before long he’s giving it to them every way they want it. The glamorous—and sometimes not so glamorous—movie business forms the backdrop to this carnal tale acted out in Rome’s sultry streets—Vice City where everything is for sale. But by the end Gil finds something more valuable than a career: true love.

Zack (Oliver Frey) is  the author of the successful ‘Biker Boy’ series and this is a good addition to his work and a god bedside reading book to while away an pleasant evening with some one handed reading. This is the first installment of what promises to be a hot and sexy series.
