This book, like most of the Falcon porno stars featured in it is solid, thick and glossy and will fill a hole in any hungry bookshelf.

Not only does it feature 400 pages of the finest pin-up photography of nearly every porn star that has ever been featured by Falcon but it also (which is unusual for these types of glossy photo book) has some interesting accompanying text, in fact this is a proper book that just happens to contain hundreds of full colour and full page photographs.

Like all Falcon products this is quality and you get a lot for your bucks and it covers the history of Falcon, from it’s beginnings under the visionary Chuck Holmes – who started the brand- to the modern day Chi Chi LaRue.

Falcon are number one in the adult film industry and their constant high production values, attention to detail and searching out the ‘hottest’ men has ensured they stayed there for four decades. No mean feat in the fickle world of gay attention spans.

The images are all of athletic men, some with hard-ons all posed in glam ‘porno’ style and the text, which features interviews with all the famous Falcon directors over the years is as interesting, varied and full on as the sex they (in)famously filmed.

For most of us a sweaty Falcon video was our first view of gay porno and I really didn’t think I’d enjoy the interviews and articles as much as I would perusing the famous oiled up flesh on show, but I enjoyed the writing more than the images.

The interview with Chi Chi LaRue reveals some hidden depths to this larger than life character and it was interesting to read such well researched writing about the rise of Falcon Studios and the ‘stars’ of the modern male gay world as we know it.

This is a big fat, mouth filling, slice of gay porno history which will leave you dribbling and satisfied.

It’s a good present for anyone who likes the ol’ Falcon Brand and a surprisingly good history of the studios too.  Something new for your coffee table collection; a sexy collection of photos’ but this time with words!
