German artist ‘Kingdom19’ has been working with male erotic photography for over 10 years. Amongst his models objects are porn stars, actors and international athletes and they’re all well hung boys.

He does the grimy, industrialised, moody and ‘hard boy skinhead’ thing very well, but then he would do wouldn’t’ he.

The soft focus and cameo effects kind of gives it a retro effect but I’m not fooled. These perfectly shot flawlessly skinned models aint’ seen anything dodgier than the inside of a tanning salon. No reality here then.

There’s a lot of photo’s in this 112 page hardback mostly black and white book, and all the young men seem to be convicts or ‘caught’. Fun if the skinny ‘rough’  lad thing does it for you.

Most of them are posed against brick or vaguely institutionalised tiled walls, there’s a fair smattering of handcuffs and barred windows but I found it a bit trite and clichéd. It’s erotic but not horny, knowing without being mysterious, but perhaps that’s the point.
