This smart, small pocket sized guide book covers just about every aspect of visiting gay Berlin.
It’s up to date and full of pictures, maps and hints of the best things to do if you’re in Berlin for a weekend, a month or longer. Everything from how to get there, to where to stay, where to eat, to how to get the best views of the city, and even some ‘secrets’ that only the locals know.
The authors seem to have done the research themselves covering the various main gay areas, their daytime activity and then the wide range of night time activities are covered in frank clear paragraphs.
From sex clubs and saunas to modern art, architecture and The Wall to the endless shopping opportunities, this guide is a useful addition for any gay man who wants to squeeze the best out of any time in this most vibrant of German cities.
The guide is written in slightly wonky English, who’s precision and humour ends up being charming rather than irritating and made me smile a few times.
Its fully comprehensive coverage of everything the gay scene has to offer is accurate and there’s even a little history thrown in too.
