This is a raunchy collection of short stories from Christopher Pierce which circle the theme of men, motorbikes and a fair bit of leather, twisting the throttle as they go. These beasts of machines ridden by macho slabs of endlessly horny men combine to give a rough feel to this book, where anything can happen and often does.  These lads ride hard and live free, they hook up over, on, behind and with their bikes and the smell of hot spunk on chrome and sump oil lingers with the musty smell of strained muscles and sweaty, satisfied men.

These are mean tattooed kitten killing biker boys, gentlemen of the road, feral grease monkey louts, cheeky rebel racing lads and cool smiling classic burn up boys, in fact every type of fantasy motorbiker you can hope to thumb a lift from. Just keep your helmet clean. Ok.

I found the writers easy to plough through and the book has enough different styles to keep this by the side of my bed for a while, as yes it’s that type of a book, a late night reading book, a one handed novel, a book – not so much with a happy ending – more  a happy finish. 'Well-trained reflexes are quicker than luck' as my biker mate tells me.

Although along with these very sexy and well realised erotic stories some of which explore dark ideas of control, there is also some tenderness in this rough mean low riding book and a few stories that explore the more tender aspects of men on men love and sex with some surprisingly sensual stories. Just goes to show, that you can’t judge a man by the huge throbbing thing he rides or the powerful beast between his thighs, some of these chromed polishing monsters have gentle hearts and strong arms to hug ya.  It takes more love to share the saddle than to share a bed.

If you’ve got a thing for motorbikes, real leather men, or just fancy some light and horny holiday reading whist touring on your Kawasaki 1000 then this is the book for you.  With seventeen stories it’s good value paperback and the standard and quality of these authors hugs the lusty road for one long hard ride. They are all great fun, non too long, and they finish with the right kind of throaty roar to turn heads on the street, or was that perhaps just me?
