Do you know who this man is?
Alan Turing was a computer genius who helped to win the Second World War through his work with the Enigma team at Bletchley Park. He was decorated by Sir Winston Churchill and lauded by the state. Yet he committed suicide and is now largely unknown.To learn more about his story, Pride in Canterbury are staging a rehearsed play reading of Hugh Whitemore’s play Breaking the Code, on Wednesday February 11, at the Friends Meeting House, The Friars, Canterbury at 7.45.pm.
