Jewels of the Raj exhibition moves to the Amsterdam Hotel

After a successful showing at the Iron Duke in Waterloo Street, Hove. Jack Dixon’s Exhibition, Jewels Of The Raj has transferred to the Amsterdam Hotel were the paintings are being exhibited in the new lobby and reception area. The acrylic abstracts depict India after partition in 1947.

Jack Dixon is an ex-soldier and is disabled. He lives in Saltdean and is a active member of GEMS (The Gay Elderly Men’s Society). Jack's suggestion for a design for the Brighton Aids Memorial was one of three put to a public vote early last year. Romany Mark Bruce's proposal for a Bronze Statue to be sited in New Steine Gardens was the eventual winner of the competition and public vote.

Jack is a former licensee and bar manager.
