Arty, fun and eclectic, Marwood Studios is a little haven of creativity in the South Lanes, and now they are serving up thick and luscious lunch time stand up comedy for FREE!

It's fairly new to the Lanes and looks like it will stay around. The owners have  been adding events and small festivals to their usual cafe duties. They have one of the most fantastic hidden courtyards in Brighton, it's HUGE and this is where the FREE comedy Fringe Festival is running at the moment. This place is as much about  socializing as sipping coffee and now it's also about laughing.

This hotspot for coffee and art lovers offers delicious coffees that are exquisitely decorated with hearts and feathers, with a large range of teas, cakes and chocolate brownies. They also have some rather delightful eccentric art all over the place.

The line up, all FREE (did i mention that) is pretty good too, with some strong LGBT talent and a lot of lovely funny Hetties too. This is a cool way to catch some of the cream of this years comedy festival, but close up and intimate, like having these rising stars of the comedy world in your garden, round for a party.

It's wonderful informal, loads of freebies with each show, like Krispy Kream doughnuts, nibbles and a special 'goodie bag' from ladies erotic emporium 'She Said' for the lovey local lessie comedianne Zoe Lyons show on the 22nd.
(I am reliably informed there will be fantastic goodie bags too.)

So if you want to be at one of the coolest gigs in town for FREE and walk away with some goodies too, get yourself along to Marwoods. Like now!
